This project involved transforming an existing 2D static graphic into a flexible animated design for use across the entire event. The challenge was creating a visual that maintained the original identity, but that could adapt to different aspect ratios, screen configurations, and content requirements while maintaining consistency across the event environment.
APPROACH
The original artwork consisted of individual coloured lines stacked to create a flowing wave effect. Rather than treating this as a flat animation, I rebuilt the concept in Cinema 4D, giving the entire design a 3D form to introduce depth, lighting, and perspective. The system was designed to be fully modular, allowing the wave to be rotated, angled, and reframed to generate multiple compositions from a single asset. By working in 3D space, I was able to introduce dynamic camera movement and create new visual variations without redesigning the core asset. This made the system highly efficient for producing content across different deliverables.
DESIGN & EXECUTION
The animation was built to feel fluid and alive rather than uniform. Instead of applying a single movement across the entire piece, each line was animated individually using wave and noise modulation. This allowed every element to follow a shared flow of movement while evolving independently, creating subtle variation and a much more interesting visual that never repeats. The result is a more organic, natural system where the overall movement feels cohesive, but never static.

OUTCOME
